Personal History: Chase was born in his mother's hometown of Paris, France. He was birthed to a rather wealthy but an all around unhappy couple. When he was three, they uprooted him and transplanted him to his father's childhood home in London, England. He was always pushed into things he had no interest in, and forced to commit to things he cared nothing for. His father had always dreamed of having his oldest son run the family business. It was just too bad Chase didn't share this same dream. No, he had his sights set on the ocean. In Chase's mind, he would one day grow up, and become the most decorated pro surfer of his time. When his sixteenth birthday rolled around, he bought a yacht, split, and caught a wave to Australia. Since then he's hit up eighteen countries on the Pacific Rim. He's a few lost and won quite a few surfing competitions in his day. Chase was eventually dubbed the 'knight of the sea'. But somewhere down the line the thrill of the game left the surfing knight. Without breathing a word of his departure from the surf scene; the knight of the sea vanished. Some say all he wanted was a place to retire to. Others say he was finally swallowed up by the sea. In actuality he heard a rumor that interested him. He heard, there were the most amazing waves in the world, just crashing up onto the shore of this one island...just going to waste.
